Oroville Adult Education- We’re ready to help you move forward.

Oroville Adult Education Career and Technical Center is here to serve adults in Butte County with academic and vocational programs in both Oroville and Chico. The aim of any school is to graduate responsible and productive citizens with strong critical thinking and academic skills by providing a rigorous, dynamic, comprehensive curriculum delivered in partnership with the community, family and a competent, qualified staff in a safe and caring environment. Teachers and staff work hard to provide the best educational experience for students. Oroville Adult Education Center has a rich tradition of outstanding student achievement and provides a sound, standards-based education, while promoting high moral character of all students.

English as a Second Language/Citizenship

OAE's English As A Second Language (ESL) classes are available in Oroville and Chico. Adults can learn English or brush up on their skills.
Students can also prepare to take the exam to become a US Citizen in our EL Civics class.

Pharmacy Technician Program w/Clinical Externship

This comprehensive 50 hour program will prepare students to work as a pharmacy
technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting.

EKG Technician Certification

The EKG Technician Certification Program prepares students to function as EKG Technicians and to take the ASPT – Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam and other National Certification Exams

Emergency Medical Technician/EMT

This 172-hour course is designed to prepare you for National and State Certification. Train to be job ready and learn the skills necessary to identify, treat and transport patients with routine or life-threatening injuries.
